A native New Yorker, Doug is a
graduate of the University of Michigan, and has been acting
since his days at Stepinac
High School in White Plains, New York. He has appeared in many
roles in film, television and on the stage.
In 2006 he starred in Bob Giraldi's family
drama, INEVITABLE, and the horror film,
MEDEA. He also
starred in the supernatural romance, THE WAITING, in which
he played David, a grieving widower, opposite co-star Christine
Nagy, a NYC radio station personality.
On the New York Off-Broadway
stage, Doug starred as Anthony in CASUALTIES OF LOVE
at the Greenwich Street Theatre, and in Spring 2006, he was the
Big Bad Wolf in the hit,
LITTLE RED.
In 2005, Doug won a Best
Supporting Actor South Bay Theater Award for his performance in
the Los Angeles run of TWILIGHT OF THE GOLDS.
On television, Doug has had roles on SCRUBS,
LAW AND ORDER, AS THE WORLD TURNS,
and ALL MY CHILDREN.
Doug is also the
seductive "voice" of Harlequin Romance, narrating a series of
best-selling audiobooks.
And most recently, Doug has added the title
of "Producer" to his resume, and has co-founded the
not-for-profit NYC theatre company, PLAYHOUSE 21,
which will "bring the Golden Age of Television...into the 21st
Century!" Its first production, THE FLATTERING WORD, will
be televised in 2007.
